You can use your MVP Health Care plan to help pay for the costs associated with any of the programs available at our center. Here’s a little bit about what to expect in detox and addiction treatment covered by MVP at Valley Vista.
Our Vermont drug and alcohol detox center provides medically supervised withdrawal management for people going through the acute withdrawal stage. Staff members are present 24/7. Licensed professionals will monitor your vital signs and provide treatment (e.g., medication, hydration support) for withdrawal symptoms to relieve discomfort and help you achieve physical stability. Unlike most other drug and alcohol rehab facilities, Valley Vista provides immediate therapeutic support. You’ll be able to start a typical therapy schedule right away.
Inpatient addiction treatment removes you from everyday triggers and distractions. It gives you the chance to focus on your recovery and establish new routines with the help of a treatment team in a dedicated drug and alcohol-free environment. But, not all inpatient treatment programs are the same. We avoid a “one size fits all” approach and focus on clinically sound, highly individualized care. All Valley Vista clients get personalized treatment plans. Our inpatient drug and alcohol rehab in Vermont offers a range of evidence-based treatments, including but not limited to:
- 12-step programming
- Acceptance and commitment therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Rational emotive behavior therapy
- Dialectical behavior therapy
- Narrative therapy
You can expect to engage in about 6-8 hours of therapy per day, seven days per week, including clinical groups on weekends. Most sessions are held in a group setting, but you will also have regular individual therapy sessions. If appropriate, family members are welcome to join family therapy sessions over Zoom or via telephone. Outdoor activities, like hiking, barbecues, and meditation walks, are also a part of our inpatient drug and alcohol rehab schedule.
In addition to our traditional inpatient program, we offer low-intensity inpatient treatment in Vermont. This is a powerful, unique program. It differs from a standard inpatient program in that clients live on-site while engaging in typical daily activities, such as work. The program involves:
- A focus on community engagement and reintegration
- Up to 19 hours per week of clinical and therapeutic group sessions
- Individual therapy
- Other treatments (e.g., family therapy)
