What We Offer

What to Expect in Treatment at Valley Vista

Valley Vista treats all types of substance use disorders. As an evidence-based treatment center designed uniquely for people with substance use disorders, we address addiction and applicable dual diagnosis concerns comprehensively but do not work with standalone mental health conditions. Here’s a little bit about what to expect in our program.

Transportation services are available to help clients get to and from our rehab center. If you need help getting to Valley Vista or have any questions about our drug rehab programs in Vermont, call Valley Vista today.

Medical detoxification or detox services help you get through drug and alcohol withdrawals safely and successfully at the start of treatment. Our Vermont drug and alcohol detox services are seamlessly integrated into our inpatient rehab program, with clinical staff present to prescribe medications or otherwise address withdrawal symptoms as needed. Unlike most drug and alcohol rehab centers, Valley Vista provides immediate therapeutic support during the detox stage of treatment.

Clients at our inpatient drug rehab in Vermont have a structured daily schedule of therapy and other activities. All clients engage in groups on weekdays and weekends. You’ll also engage in individual therapy sessions three times per week and other treatments (e.g., life skills, medication management) as scheduled. The length of your stay at Valley Vista is dependent on your needs and other factors. However, most clients remain in rehab for around 28-35 days.

We ask that laptops stay at home so that you can focus on your healing. You’ll be able to contact loved ones while in treatment, and family members can participate in family therapy sessions via Zoom or telephonically as needed.

Aftercare and relapse prevention are a crucial part of treatment. Before you leave Valley Vista’s inpatient rehab, we’ll connect you with aftercare services, such as outpatient treatment programs, therapists, and sober living in your desired area. We’re here to help make the transition out of treatment a smooth one.

Valley Vista offers alumni events and get-togethers, private online alumni meetings, calls with our counselors, and other services. Former Valley Vista clients can use alumni services whenever they want and for as long as they want.

Before you start your program at Valley Vista, you’ll get an intake assessment, which will give you an opportunity to discuss treatment needs, potential co-occurring disorders, and other considerations with staff.
